Anupam Diwan was born & brought up in a small town. Drawing from childhood, he uses photography to explore his past and identity alongside having an affinity towards nature & people. Followed by sketching, he started taking pictures early during mid-school, from a camera bought for the family trip. Soon after receiving a degree in engineering, he moved to Mumbai to pursue photography as a profession. Following an interest in storytelling, he studied at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, Bangladesh in 2016-17.
Currently, he works as an independent photographer and is based in Pune.
'FIREFLIES' currently a part of the exhibition 'Ellipsis: Between Word & Image' curated by Rahaab Allana, at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. It will be on view till 30th April, 2019.
